Effective August 24, 2026

The short version: you can use the app without an account. If you make one, we store your CUNY email, the reviews and tags you post, and your preferences — nothing else. No ads, no tracking, no selling data. Delete your account in the app and everything tied to it goes with it.

An account is optional

You can browse everything in JJAY Campus Companion — classes, events, campus facilities, and professor reviews — without signing up. Anonymous browsing sends us nothing that identifies you.

Signing up requires a CUNY email

Creating an account requires an email address at one of these domains: @login.cuny.edu, @jjay.cuny.edu, or @stu-mail.jjay.cuny.edu. This keeps accounts limited to the CUNY community.

What we store

If you create an account, we store:

That data lives in Supabase, the backend service the app is built on.

Where the app’s data comes from

What we don’t do

Deleting your account

Use Delete account in the app (in the Profile tab). It removes your account and everything tied to it — your email, your reviews and tags, and your preferences.
